Plants 101: Keeping Your Indoor Plants Fresh and Happy
Healthy plants don’t just happen — they thrive with a little care and consistency. With the right habits, your indoor jungle can stay lush and glowing all year round.
1. Dust and Wipe the Leaves
Just like furniture, your plants collect dust too. A gentle wipe with a damp cloth helps leaves absorb sunlight better and keeps them looking fresh and glossy.
2. Rotate Your Plants
Plants naturally grow toward the light. Rotating them every week or two ensures even growth and helps prevent them from leaning too much to one side.
3. Water the Right Way
Overwatering is the number one plant killer. Most indoor plants prefer slightly dry soil between waterings. Always check the top inch of soil — if it’s dry, it’s time for a drink.
4. Feed Them Occasionally
Every few months, give your plants a light boost with fertilizer to encourage new growth — especially during the growing season (spring and summer).
5. Refresh the Soil
Repot your plants every year or two to refresh nutrients and give their roots room to grow. Choose pots with drainage holes to prevent root rot.
Pro Tip
Happy plants are a reflection of good habits — not constant attention. Keep it simple, stay consistent, and your green friends will thrive.
Healthy habits, happy plants.
